ESAM Graduate Student Genevieve Brown awarded fellowship by ARCS Foundation

The ARCS Foundation (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) awarded seven $10,000 Fellowships to leading graduate students in the sciences at Northwestern this year.  Historically, ARCS has awarded over $600,000 to Northwestern in support of graduate science research. New ARCS Fellows at Northwestern are Genevieve Brown (Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics, Silber lab); Louise Giam (Materials Science, Mirkin lab); Patrick Hayes (Chemistry, Geiger lab); Sara Kleinschmidt (Cell and Molecular Biology, Ferreira lab).

Founded in 1958, the ARCS Foundation "provides scholarships to academically outstanding United States citizens studying to complete their degrees in science, medicine and engineering, thereby contributing to the worldwide advancement of science and  technology."
