Ivan Christov, a second year graduate student in the ESAM department, received a Best Student Paper award at the Sixth IMACS International Conference on Nonlinear Evolution Equations and Wave Phenomena: Computation and Theory. The award was for his invited contribution entitled "Hidden solitons in the Zabusky-Kruskal experiment: Analysis using the periodic, inverse scattering transform".
